Any licensed cable company in the Region may join the Co-op as shareholders for a nominal stock purchase price. They are then designated as a Member Company (Member) and as long as they remain in good standing with the Co-op, have full access to all benefits.
Members are not required to change their operations or take any time away from running their businesses to participate in or benefit from the Co-op. In fact, it is the Co-op’s objective to help Members obtain additional resources which they do not currently have the time or funds to pursue.
For example, Members do not have to negotiate directly with television networks. The Co-op negotiates agreements on the Members’ behalf, saving Members considerable time and legal expense.
The Co-op remits payments on the Members’ behalf to television networks. The Member reports customer numbers to the Co-op; the Co-op produces all documentation and pays the networks.
